After massive population declines over the past decade, researchers discovered that seahorses would adapt to artificial habitats if they were available.
These specially designed hotels have been a breakout hit, and are now being trialled with other seahorse populations in places as far afield as Gibraltar, Greece, the United States, Philippines and Indonesia.
